Eyes

Check out these closeups of eyes. These are all people I work with at Evision. Pretty interesting to see eyes this close up.

Wow...... It's been awhile since I've logged on to the ol' LiveJournal. I feel like an imposter to the LiveJournal society. Anyway... "Hello" to you that are reading this right now. May God bless you!

If you haven't considered this before, then consider it now (consider - give it some thought, ponder it, and give it a chance)
God loves you! and I should say even before that... There is a God! You... yes you, have purpose... a destiny, a reason that you are here. Get to know God... about Him. You can even talk to Him like you would talk to me.

You were created by something, right? And don't you understand that you did not just appear from thin air or by coincidence.

Here's another thought for all...

Identity - it's who we are. Most of us are trying to figure this out right now. Generally, we believe what we've been told all of our lives, by our parents, by our friends, our teachers... It's one of psychological things that gets programmed into our brains. We hear these things and we label ourselves as just that. We play that role for others, adapting to our different groups and becoming social chameleons.

Think about it... your situation. What was your home life like? How did your parents talk to you? What did your friends say? That's probably who you perceive yourself to be.

GOD is the giver of identity! He's the creator, (He personally hand-crafted you) so obviously he decides who you are. People will tell you all sorts of things, stuff that's not true, that will degrade you... most of the time it's just because they are hurting. But what God says about you is true.

Read Ephesians... this applies to you.

"In Christ you find out who you are and what you are living for." EPHESIANS 1:11 (message)

Read the whole chapter it's true...

Hopefully, this was for you today/tonight!!!

for me... times with my friends are cherished. i love them so. more than ever this year, i have had time to spend on them and with them.

wednesday... cedric, jodi, scott, lexi, bryan and i went to the last alabama basketball home game of the season. Alabama vs. Auburn. we had a blast with bama winning out impressively. the colliseum was packed with crazed fans. oh fun!

so... i'm wanting to do something silly like go to Superskate or go see a drive in movie, or do something fun such as visit the arboretum or go hiking or camping. now, i just have to find some friends who would enjoy this as well.

by the way i'm reading this book that my mom recommended titled, "For women only". It's about the needs men have and how they often have trouble expressing that these needs are not being met. really good so far.

i love my mom. she is so great. what a beautiful mom she is. she would do anything for her boys.

tuesday night was aqualung @ workplay. it was my first experience with these guys and quite enjoyable i must say. i didn't realize it but one of their songs is on the soundtrack to wicker park (great movie and soundtrack).

God, you are a beautiful God and I truly love you. forgive me for not always acting like it.

victory at last
Originally uploaded by JCFreak1223.
after reading this you might say, "who cares!"... but after spending two hours with my room mate bryan trying to hacky sack to a count of thirty i thought i should share that we achieved victory.

we started around 10:30 after watching grey's anatomy and did not finish until approximately 20 min after midnight.

My legs feel like they are going to fall off. Hacky sack is no joke. i am exhausted. if you could only see how intense we were and how serious we took this task that was set before us then maybe, just maybe you could appreciate the accomplishment that took place at 12:20.

Oh yeah... something that was funny. We were getting exhausted and our legs were about to give and there was still no victory so i said, "let's give it five more tries and then call it quits"

4 tries with no success. On the 5th try we started out rough with the sack going in all directions. but with some tremendous saves and the divine intervention of the god of the hacky sack we did it on our fifth and final try. how great is that!

okay.. enough with the hacky sack you might say but this night will be remembered for some time...

that is until we reach forty...

so i am on my way to the marc broussard concert (which was great by the way... it was my first) and i am reading some WORD. i'm reading in matthew where Jesus, with his disciples, begins to teach the people on the mountain. this i have read many times before, but everytime i read it... it is so... sharp, for lack of a better term. it cuts and it hurts. he teaches not to just do stuff solely because you are told, but he goes beyond that and into motivations behind what you are doing, things that others can't see. things and reasons that only you and God know.

read it. see for yourself. i would elaborate more but it is 6:00 in the morn and i haven't slept. i'm going to bed. may God bless you!!!

As many of you know, Friday night I had my singer/songwriter debut at POUR cafe. To sum it up, I would say it was a success... at least for me. I made it through with no major disasters, didn't get booed off the stage and had lots of love from my friends. It was great!

Set List:

The Beauty of Who You Are - Marc Brousard (special silent dedication to J. and C. Miller)

Can't Get Enough of You - Chase Bowers Original

Only Three - Ben Pasley

Something Real - Orignal

Can She See Me - Original

Can't Live Without You - Original

If you weren't able to make it this time, I hope you will come out to another show. Thanks to all who did come.
